The Fatboy story began in 2002, when Finnish designer Jukka Setälä met Dutchman Alex Bergman. Together, they launched the Original footstool, which has become an icon of casual design. This success marked the starting point for a world as joyful as it is functional, populated by nomadic lamps, oversized hammocks, playful rugs and pop tables. The watchword? To create objects that make life simpler, more comfortable… and a whole lot more fun.

At the start of spring, discover Made In Design’s exclusive new collection of iconic Fatboy designs by New York textile brand Dusen Dusen! This fun and naïve textile editor is inspired by contemporary art. It regularly collaborates with major fashion and home brands such as Uniqlo and West Elm. This bold alliance revisits Fatboy classics with vibrant patterns and bright colors, infusing a playful and original touch to your exterior and interior alike. The must-haves – the Original Slim, the Paletti, the Point, the Headmock and the Miasun – are adorned with unique textiles revisited by Dusen Dusen for a version full of freshness and style. Fatboy lamps are equipped with a built-in rechargeable battery, offering great freedom of use both indoors and out. To recharge your Fatboy lamp, simply plug it in using the USB cable supplied. The charging port is usually located under the base or on the back of the lamp, depending on the model (Edison the Petit, Bolleke, Tjoepke…). Once plugged in, an indicator light shows that charging is in progress. Allow 3 to 5 hours on average for a full charge, depending on the model, and then enjoy several hours of wireless nomadic lighting.
